Final report eCarTec Paris 2013 :
Mission accomplished: success at the second eCarTec Paris trade fair, the French trade fair for electric mobility from April 16 to 18 in Paris

For three days, associations, clubs, local authorities, electric mobility professionals and the general public took advantage of the opportunity to network, gather information and exchange ideas. The event’s spotlight was on the latest developments, innovations and projects for developing electric and hybrid vehicles and two-wheelers, encompassing an exhibition, conferences and a test-drive area.

This relatively new fair attracted around 70 exhibiting partners, 1,500 visitors and 64 journalists over three days. The main features of the 2013 event were the 4th International Conference for Electric and Hybrid Mobility, the new eBikeTec area - which focussed on presenting and test-driving electrically assisted bicycles and electric scooters – and, above all, the dedication and professionalism of all involved - the exhibitors, presenters and partners.

"The quality of eCarTec Paris 2013 reflects the degree of international commitment to implementing electric mobility. This second eCarTec France has confirmed our initiative to create a major national fair devoted to electric mobility. A fair that is similar to the eCarTec Munich fair, which has succeeded in becoming a benchmark for the industry in less than five years and draws more than 500 exhibitors and 12,000 visitors over three days. The industry players and general public are faced with major economic, social and environmental challenges. In 2014, we want to make eCarTec Paris the largest showcase and meeting place for electric mobility in France. We invite everyone to join us at eCarTec Paris 2014, which will be held from 20 to 22 May." Robert Metzger, Director of Munich Expo – Organiser of eCarTec Paris and Munich trade fairs.

To the Press Release

eCarTec Paris 2012 is getting prominent support:
Ministry of Environment and Ministry of Industry take over the patronage of the leading Trade Fair for Electric Mobility

Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, French minister for Ecology, Sustainable Development, Transport and Housing will become the patron of eCarTec Paris 2012, together with her colleague Eric Besson, Minister of Industry, Energy and Digital Economics.

"The prevalence of electric cars is a huge economic and ecological chance for France. We have already taken first steps towards the development of electric vehicles, several others will follow. This, however, requires the cooperation of all players such as construction engineers, suppliers, installers, and local authorities. These target groups will meet at eCarTec Paris 2012 for an exchange and discussion. I am proud to be the patron of this trade fair", says Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, Minister for Ecology, Sustainable Development, Transport and Housing.

"With electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles, a new generation of cars is hitting the markets. And even now it has become clear that the government has achieved its industrial, technological and economic goals" explains Eric Besson, minister of industry, energy and digital economics. "The French car manufacturers will benefit from this revolution. Future investments and the car allowance rebate system will also contribute to this successful approach. eCarTec Paris is a must for everyone interested in the topic of electric mobility. I am delighted to become the patron of this top event".
