Join the eMobility Revolution! eCarTec Paris 2012: the big day is coming!

- from 3 to 5 April 2012, Parc des Expositions Porte de Versailles, hall 5.1 - Prominent partners support the 3rd International Trade Fair for Electric Mobility in France

eCarTec Paris 2012 takes another step and the preparations for the International Trade Fair for Electric Mobility are well under way. Among the 90 exhibiting companies, international groups in this industry have already confirmed their participation, such as ABB, Henkel, Schneider Electrics and EV Plug. For a detailed overview of these, the database of exhibitors is available at
www.ecartec-paris.eu.

Numerous cooperation partners for eCarTec Paris

A successful trade fair needs strong partners. In addition to the multitude of media partners, associations such as AVEM, AVERE and the Club des Voitures Écologiques support eCarTec Paris as promoters of the trade fair. Furthermore, the association ExtraEnergy ensures the organisation of the inside test track for light electric vehicles (power-assisted bikes and electric bikes) as well as numerous conferences.

The Be+ Paris (Bâtiment Energie Positive) trade fairs include EnR, the renewable energy exhibition; Expobiogaz; Bluebat and Smartgrid expo, as well as the Solutions Electroniques trade fair also reinforce the list of partners. These trade fairs run parallel to eCarTec at the Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles. The ticket to eCarTec permits entrance to the other trade fairs and vice versa. For more information on the Be+ Paris trade fairs see: http://bepositive-events.com/entry

Arnaud Wigniolle, director of the department Bâtiment-Énergie has the following to say on this subject, "We are very pleased about this partnership with eCarTec. Renewable energy, smartgrids and electric mobility are subjects that complement each other well. It is the construction of a new channel, from the production to the consumption of energy, which is being introduced and is a big step in sustainable cities."

Robert Metzger, manager of MunichExpo GmbH and organiser of eCarTec Paris, adds "electric vehicles are silent, efficient and more economical to run. However, they are only truly environmentally-friendly depending on the electricity that they use. It is for this reason that, in practice, only a combination of electric vehicles and electricity generated from renewable sources is exempt from CO2 and therefore free of pollutants."

In addition to a test track for electric vehicles, the accompanying programme of eCarTec Paris will include the eCarTec Paris Conference on electric mobility. Experts from BMW, Renault, Michelin and Continental, among others, with present the current developments and the target application areas in electric mobility. The conference will take place on 3 and 4 April in the Amérique room.
